Christina Hall shares awkward moment with ex Josh in Christina In The Country trailer... 5 months after filing for divorce

Christina Haack and her ex, Josh Hall, shared a rather awkward moment as he made a brief appearance in the second season of HGTV's Christina In The Country.

The TV personality, 41 - who recently hired Kim Kardashian's divorce lawyer amid their ugly split - was seen washing their chickens in the episode titled Basement Blow Out! which aired last week on November 26.

The former couple notably filed for divorce in July - after tying the knot two years earlier in 2022.

In the snippet, Christina gave the chickens a rinse off in a bathtub while getting help from her children - shortly before Josh walked in on the peculiar moment.

'In Tennessee, our chickens are our pets,' she explained in a confessional. 'I want to bring them inside and cuddle with them on the couch, but we can't do that until we give them a bath.'

The reality star received help from her kids Taylor, 14, and Brayden, nine - whom she shares with ex Tarek El Moussa. She is also mom to son Hudson, five, whom she welcomed with ex Ant Anstead

In the process of cleaning the chickens, Josh suddenly appeared in the doorway of the bathroom - which was also his only cameo in the episode.

Haack and Hall concluded filming for the second season of the HGTV series in April - three months before filing for divorce.

Christina - who went back to her maiden name after the split - cheerfully greeted him, but Josh simply shook his head as they began to blow dry the chickens on the floor.

'I'm kind of speechless,' he admitted, and then added with his voice trailing off, 'I shouldn't be at this point, but...'

'We're like a full blown chicken hair salon in here,' Haack expressed, with Josh replying with, 'I was literally just gonna say, are you opening up a grooming center for chickens?'

While gently holding one of the chickens that was wrapped up in a towel, she added, 'They're so happy now.'

Hall then held up one of his hands and told Christina, 'I'm at a loss for words.' As he prepared to leave, she quickly called out, 'Love you!'

The scene took place at their Tennessee home - also known as the Leiper's Fork farmhouse - where the family resided at while filming the second season of Christina In The Country.

However, since the split, the abode has been the source of contention amongst the former couple.

In October, Haack listed the property for $4.5 million when Josh was still living there - but she soon took the home off the market just weeks later.

He also appeared in the season two premiere of the HGTV series which also aired last month - and the pair appeared cheerful and all smiles during the episode.

At one point, the two were seen together in front of the camera while discussing heading back to the state of Tennessee to take on new projects.

'I have some good news. I know how much you love Tennessee,' Christina had informed her now-ex.

'I've gotten some inquiries lately and a few of them are really good, so I feel like it's time we go back there and start some new projects, new families, new contractors,' she added, with Josh saying, 'Oh, it's been time!'

Haack and Hall were also slated to appear together in the new reality show, The Flip Off -  also starring Tarek El Moussa and wife, Heather El Moussa.

However, Josh dropped out of the project amid their separation.

Hall then held up one of his hands and told Christina, 'I'm at a loss for words.' As he prepared to leave, she quickly called out, 'Love you!'

Last month, Christina revealed to Entertainment Tonight that Hall had 'put a damper' on filming the show - and also labeled him 'insecure.'

'When someone is insecure by you and doesn’t like to watch you win, that really puts a damper on everything,' she told the outlet.

'I feel like I was not shining as bright, to try to not make him feel emasculated. But who wants to live like that? It was not fun, to be honest.'

Haack continued, 'I did not enjoy filming with him, so having split up made this, to be honest, so much easier and so much better in every way.'

However, she had no issues filming with her other ex-husband, Tarek, whom she was married to from 2009 through 2018.

'Tarek and I have our own dynamic, and some could call it "flirty,"' she explained before adding that their relationship post-divorce is a 'sibling type of thing.'

Christina expressed that she was able to be open to El Moussa following her split from Josh, stating she was 'telling him that things were bad for at least a year...probably 18 months.'

Tarek also shared his thoughts on how Haack was faring after her separation, and told ET, 'At the beginning, she was going through it, you know, but she recovers really quick.'

'You can just tell, her energy's back. She's happy. She's excited about life, like, she's doing good,' the star added.

Last week, it was also revealed that Christina had taken the step to hire Kim Kardashian's divorce lawyer amid her ugly split from Josh.

Since their separation, she has publicly claimed that Hall 'stole' from her and also previously alleged he transferred $35K from her bank account.

He later hit back, with a spokesperson telling DailyMail.com, 'Josh has said repeatedly that he wants to handle the divorce like an adult - in the courts, not in social media and the tabloids.'

'Over and over again, Christina has insisted otherwise, creating public spectacles, but Josh has still stayed quiet. But now Christina is defaming him...'

'These are false, libelous claims. Josh hasn’t stolen a penny from her or her family. This is a red line, and Christina has crossed it,' the source added.

'Instead of repeating Christina’s false statement, the media should ask why Christina keeps insisting on handling this matter in public instead of through the law.'

In a recent update amid their ongoing divorce battle, Haack hired 'Disso Queen' Laura Wasser as her lawyer.

A source told Us Weekly that, 'Christina was not happy with the progress or lack thereof.'

'She decided to go with the best divorce attorney out there to try and wrap this up quickly and fairly.'
