Shameless star Emma Kenney rescued a shelter dog who was just minutes away from being euthanized.
The New York-born actress, 25, picked up the small terrier-like dog on Monday night from an animal shelter in Los Angeles with her boyfriend Conrad Hilton, 30.
Kenney shared footage of the dog's freedom walk via her Instagram Story on Tuesday.
The brief video showed the pup being walked out of the shelter and into the parking lot on a leash by a member of shelter staff or animal control.
Kenney and Hilton — who is the younger brother of socialite Paris Hilton — stepped in to save the dog on behalf of her LA-based dog rescue Yogi's House.
'@conradhilton and I saved this sweet little dog who was MINUTES away from being euthanized at the shelter for @itsyogishouse last night and brought her to her new home,' Kenney wrote.

In a follow-up post, the TV star provided her 2.2million followers with a heartbreaking glimpse at the ongoing shelter crisis in California.
She captured video of the countless kenneled dogs in need of rescuing.
'The shelter dogs need homes and don't deserve this life,' she wrote. 'This is your reminder to #adoptdontshop'
In honor of Giving Tuesday — a day of generosity held the Tuesday following Thanksgiving — Kenney encouraged her fans to donate to Yogi's House to support their rescue work.
Kenney is a vocal animal activist who often uses her platform to advocate for animal rights and to encourage pet adoption over unethical breeding.
She co-founded Yogi's House — a woman-run, foster-based dog rescue — in September 2022 with Nicola Peltz-Beckham, who is a billionaire heiress, actress and the wife of Brooklyn Beckham.
They did so with the purpose of saving 'dogs from the euthanasia lists of overcrowded California shelters.'
'At Yogi's House, we want to make adoption a joyous, personalized, and hassle-free experience.' the official website reads. 'Adoption is truly possible for all breeds, and we work to find adopters who meet the needs of all of our rescues.'

The rescue relies on volunteer fosters as well as the 'expertise of trainers Tin Nguyen from Bestie K9 Academy and Tyler Wilson.'
Kenney's boyfriend Conrad Hilton — who she began dating sometime in 2022 — is their official 'adoption outreach coordinator.'
In a heartfelt post published to Instagram in July, Kenney called Yogi's House her 'pride and joy.
'our team works so hard everyday to help our pups saved from the euthanasia list at the shelters find their furever homes,' she penned.
In the same post, she revealed that Yogi's House has launched a 'sponsorship gift program,' which allows people to make a monthly donation to support a dog in need.
Kenney herself has adopted several shelter dogs over the years.
Most recently, The Conners star added a Chihuahua mix named Prince to her pack in 2022.
While running a dog rescue is her passion, Kenney is most known for her acting work.

She famously starred as Debbie Gallagher on the hit Showtime series Shameless with Emmy Rossum, William H. Macy and Jeremy Allen White.
Kenney appeared on all nine seasons from 2011 to 2021.
Even before the end of Shameless, Emma began starring on the Roseanne revival in 2018, which was later retitled The Conners after star Roseanne Barr was fired for racist comments she made about former Obama administration senior advisor Valerie Jarrett.
Kenney plays Harris Conner-Healy, the daughter of Darlene Conner-Healy, played by Sara Gilbert.
Roseanne was killed off on the series while the remainder of the cast continued on.
The shows seventh and final season is set to premiere in March 2025 on ABC.
