Steamy romcom shatters streaming records despite dire reviews branding it 'bizarre and wooden' - and it's free to stream now
A steamy romantic comedy has shattered streaming records despite dire reviews that branded it 'bizarre and wooden'.
Prime Video hit, Your Fault, debuted on the streaming platform on December 27 and has divided opinion since its launch.
The Spanish film stormed up Prime Video charts in over 170 countries, including Spain, Germany and France, according to The Mirror.
Starring Gabriel Guevara as Nick and Nicole Wallace as Noah, the romance also reportedly ranked amongst the Top 3 in the UK and America.
The sequel to My Fault, Your Fault follows the story of step-siblings Noah and Nick as they navigate a romantic relationship with one another while their parents try to separate them.
Based on Mercedes Ron's trilogy, The Culpables, Your Fault reportedly also made it into Prime Video's list of Top 10 Non-English Language International Originals in 2024.

However, despite the film's success in rankings, Your Fault received mixed reviews when it was first released.
The Guardian's Peter Bradshaw only rated it one out of five stars and described it as a 'mind-pulverisingly bizarre and woodenly acted romdram'.
It has only scored 20% on Rotten Tomatoes' Tomatometer and some viewers took to writing their verdicts on the film.
One commented on the review site: 'Bad ending, bad movie.'
Another said: 'This Spanish language sequel tried to make a franchise like the After movies, I can only ask why? The plots are even more patchworked that the original, with even less sexual tension.
'Worst than the first, I can't imagine how bad the third movie they spent this two hours setting up will be. I have either already seen it in another movie or have no desire to see how things work out.
'This was a waste of two hours, I could not wait for it to end. I will pass on any further Culpa movies and never watch this again.'

However, some left raving reviews. One person wrote: 'This movie had me completely entranced. I watched the first installment to this movie, and was immediately hooked. The intensity and the conflict was all there.
'Along with the not so accepting relationship between step siblings. I can't wait for the third installment to come out. And I heard there might be a London version.
'Yesss please. It's everything I could ask for in a book turn to movie beside of course no mystical creatures of course.'
Another said: 'I thought the movie was absolutely mindboggling, I can't wait for part 3.'
Your Fault is available to stream on Prime Video.
