'Very proud of you': Eminem's estranged mother Debbie Mathers congratulates the rapper after his Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction
Eminem has been congratulated by his estranged mother Debbie Mathers after the rapper was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
Marshall Mathers, 50, and his mother, 67, have endured a strained relationship that's played out in the public eye since the rapper came to fame over 25 years ago.
Seemingly putting the feud aside, Debbie congratulated her son in a video that was posted on social media on Monday.

Debbie addressed her son by saying: 'Marshall, I want to say, I could not let this day go by without congratulating you on your induction into the Hall of Fame.'
She continued: 'I love you very much. I knew you'd get there. It's been a long ride. I'm very, very proud of you.'
Debbie gave birth to Marshall when she was just 18 and he was then abandoned by his father shortly after being born.
During their rocky relationship, Eminem referred to his mother on the My Name Is track from the 1999 album The Slim Shady LP.

In the song My Name Is, the rapper claimed his mother did 'more dope than' he did.
Debbie responded to her son by suing him for $11 million, claiming defamation of character.
The rapper and record producer's lawyer then released a statement on behalf of his client saying that the lawsuit was as a 'result of a lifelong strained relationship' between the pair.
The lawsuit culminated with Debbie receiving $25,000 - most of which went to her lawyer.

Debbie wasn't in attendance for her son's Hall of Fame Ceremony.
The 2022 inductee notably performed alongside Ed Sheeran at the event.
During his induction, the Detroit rapper said: 'I realise what an honour it is right now for me to be up here tonight, and what a privilege it is to do the music that I love, and the music that basically saved my life.'
He added: 'I’m probably not supposed to actually be here tonight because I'm a rapper, and this is the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
'I'm so grateful that I'm even able to be up here doing hip hop music, man, because I love it so much.'
