Getting hospice care in your homeMarie Curie Nurses, healthcare assistants and palliative specialists provide clinical help and emotional support in the comfort of your own home, day or night.
Getting hospice care in your homeHospice care at home brings the care that you need to you. From expert nursing and personal care to emotional or bereavement support, hospice care at home provides expert, hands-on care to anyone with an illness they're likely to die from, and those close to them, in the comfort of your own home.
Getting out and about might be a challenge. Or you might just prefer being at home. Being where you feel comfortable is important, which is why we're here to care for you where you are.
We can manage your symptoms and provide vital emotional support, so you feel safe, reassured and get the vital services which could otherwise be out of reach.
Nursing, personal and emotional care: Our skilled and friendly team of healthcare assistants and registered nurses can help manage your symptoms, make sure you're comfortable and provide vital emotional and practical support. Offering this at home can give relief and reassurance to you and the people close to you that you're getting the help you need.
Support for family, friends and carers: Looking after someone with a terminal illness can be demanding, and we can help to ease the load. By bringing the care to your home, we provide the support you need, while the people looking after you can take a break. That can mean just taking some time for themselves. But it can also mean a little time where they can just be your friend or family member again.
Urgent hospice care at home: We understand that you might need help suddenly, and calling an ambulance or getting to A&E can be hugely challenging at times like this. That's why we provide fast, responsive nursing care at home.
If you would like care and support in your home from one of our nurses, healthcare assistants or palliative specialists, you should contact your district nurse, GP, or your hospital team.
