Advertising Rules
Before an advertisement is published on VK, it is checked for compliance with the laws and Advertising Rules. We check images, text, advertisement settings, as well as all materials on the advertised site or community. Become acquainted with the mandatory requirements for posting advertisements.
If your advertisement is approved, it will be displayed automatically. In case of rejection, the advertisement will be stopped and you will be notified as to why the advertisement was refused.
2.1. The text must comply with the norms of the language in which the ad is written, do not contain spelling and punctuation errors, emoji and special characters.
2.2. The image must comply with the rules of design and content.
After correcting the problem that caused the advertisement to be rejected, you can send if for verification again.
Goods and services, the advertising of which is prohibited
On VK advertisements, the following content is prohibited:
- Alcohol, smoking, drugs. Spirits and alcohol products, including alcohol-making instruments. Tobacco products and smoking devices including hookahs, e-cigarettes, vaporizers, vapes, and other accessories. Drugs, psychotropic substances and devices for their use.
- Copies and replicas of goods. Counterfeit goods and copies that use original names and brands.
- Pyramids schemes. Network marketing, mutual aid, services for rapid and instantaneous earnings.
- Gambling. Casinos, wagering and other games based on risk and betting except poker as an intellectual commercial game.
- Weapons. Military goods, weapons, explosives. Following certain conditions, advertising pyrotechnics and items that constructively similar to weapons but not being weapons is permitted.
- Adult products. Products and services of an erotic nature, adult products and stores including underwear advertisements accompanied by explicit photos.
- Healing. Predictions, witchcraft, esoterics, tarot, ESP, NLP and other similar services.
- Law violations. Services for hacking, communities and app promotion, spamming including sites containing spyware and malicious software, or other programs that can deceive users.
- Infringing third party rights. Advertising as well as site or community materials should not violate the rights of third parties, including copyrights, trademarks and other proprietary rights.
- Competing services and other social networks along with direct links.
Goods and services, the advertising of which is permitted with some restrictions
On VK advertisements, the following content is permitted upon the provision of certain documents and adherence to conditions:
- Medicine and pharmaceuticals. Drugs, dietary supplements, medical devices, medical services and institutions, cosmetics and beauty services.
- Financial and insurance services. Banking and microfinance institutions, forex dealers, binary options.
- Other goods and services. Jewelry, fur products, food products including baby food and sports nutrition, radar detectors, pawn shops, paintball and other similar games, charities, stimulating events and lotteries, dating services.
Advertisement design requirements
VK has strict requirements regarding advertisement design so as to ensure the highest quality advertising and maintain user interest.
- Images. Images used in advertisements must be high-quality, they should contain no small unreadable inscriptions and text should take no more than 50% of the area. In addition, the image should not contain interface elements such as buttons like "Order" or "Buy" and goods or services that are prohibited from being advertised, empty areas or solids.
- Text. The text on an advertisement must not contain typos, spelling and grammar errors, slang and colloquial expressions, false information (knowingly false promises and statements), incorrect acronyms, excessive use of emoji, words typed by t r a c k i n g or written all in CAPITAL LETTERS, including using �~CHARACTERS!~~�
Advertised site and community requirements
VK checks the content of advertised sites or communities. Please make sure that they meet the requirements.
- Advertised resource content. The content of an advertised site or community must match the advertisement text. It will be rejected if it contains malicious content, collects user information through fraud (phishing), includes pop-up banners or redirects to third-party sites. Communities should have at least ten posts on the wall along with a group description, photos and video materials.
- Incorrectly working sites and apps. Advertised sites and apps must be accessible and displayed correctly in all browsers.
- Profanity and offensive material. Advertising as well as advertised sites or communities must not contain strong and abusive language, obscene jokes or other inappropriate materials. In addition, the publication of erotic or pornographic materials is prohibited.

How to learn the reason the advertisement was rejected
If one of your advertisements was rejected, this means it is no longer displayed. To launch the advertisement, you must correct the problem by editing the advertisement or submitting the necessary documents we have requested in accordance with the Rules. How to fix a rejected advertisement
