After months of rumors, it's finally been confirmed that Twilight star Robert Pattinson is engaged to his girlfriend Suki Waterhouse.

The couple are expecting their first child together and Suki was pictured wearing what looked like a diamond engagement ring earlier this week.

'They are engaged. They both want to be married. It's important for them,' an insider told PEOPLE on Thursday.

They dished that The Batman actor, 37, 'can't wait to be a dad' and his relationship with Suki, 31, is in a great place.

'He's so ready. His relationship with Suki is incredible. He feels very lucky.'

The source said that pregnant Suki has a 'special glow' about her and 'seems very happy.'

Suki and Robert began dating in 2018 and are famously low-key.

Despite being together for the past five years, the songstress revealed in October that her and Robert only just moved in together. They're both based in London.

During an appearance on the Driven Minds: A Type 7 podcast, she discussed the April move and how she feels 'very lucky' to have a partner like Robert

'[The move] doesn't feel like that much of a crazy thing,' she said. 'And I'm very lucky because he is so accepting of the mess and the chaos.

'He never says anything about it. He kind of thinks it's like, charming. So I'm very lucky for that.'

Earlier this year, Suki told The Times that she is 'shocked that I'm so happy with someone for nearly five years' and that he still gives her butterflies.

'I'm always incredibly excited when I see his name pop up [on my phone] or even a text, and I think he feels the same about me.

'We've always got so much to say, and I find him hilarious.' 

On Monday, Suki was seen wearing a two-diamond ring on her left ring finger that many saw as a sign she's engaged to Robert.

And a diamond expert has predicted that the ring would have set Robert — who has a reported net worth of $100 million — back round back around $330,000.

Neil Dutta, Managing Director of wedding and engagement ring specialists, Angelic Diamonds said: 'Congratulations to Robert Pattison and Suki Waterhouse on their engagement.

'Suki debuted a bespoke Toi et Moi engagement ring, worth £260,000 ($330,000). 'The ring features a 2.5ct princess-cut diamond alongside a 2.5ct pear-shaped diamond set on a diamond pavé platinum band.'

The couple were first met with engagement rumors in 2020 when photos published by DailyMail.com showed Suki wearing a ring on her left ring finger. 

Last month, Suki confirmed that a baby is on the way as she referenced her growing belly during a concert.

In a TikTok clip shared by user @bestsukiw, the singer gestured to her baby bump and made a sweet quip at the Corona Capital Festival in Mexico City.

She could be seen addressing the audience as she revealed the reasoning behind her concert costume choice.

'I thought I'd wear something sparkly today to distract you from something else I've got going on,' the singer said, while pushing back her fuzzy pink jacket to motion towards her stomach.

However, after loud cheering from the crowd began to die down, she then teased, 'I'm not sure if it's working.'

The confirmation came after she was photographed in public with an obvious baby bump on several occasions.

On Thursday, Suki gave fans a glimpse at her bare belly in bikini photos taken during her recent babymoon with Robert in St. Lucia.

The English musician modeled a floral-patterned cream-hued bikini and she covered the top of her head with a red and ivory scarf.

There was no caption included in the post, but that didn't stop her fans from showering her with praise.

'Mother is actually mothering,' one pleased follower wrote in the comments, creating a play on the popular complimentary expression.

Someone else admired the carousel and wrote, 'there's a baby in youuuuuu,' with a string of red heart emoji.

The note continued, 'congratulations, that's so cool! and you look stunning as always.'

The newly engaged star showed off a variety of colorful looks during the tropical getaway.

One outfit included a white graphic T-shirt with orange print, topped by a patterned kimono-style jacket.

The fashionista complemented the look with glossy black-rimmed shades with light red tinted lenses.

She wore a selection of trendy silver-toned jewelry — including necklaces and earrings — from the brand AGMES.

Another stylish ensemble consisted of a red bandana print tube top layered underneath a printed black and white shorts and shirt co-ord.

Suki snapped a mirror selfie showing off the look, as she added a headscarf and tan, woven tote bag.

Elsewhere in the selection of snapshots, the musician and actress modeled a white dress with big yellow, red, and orange flowers printed throughout.

The gorgeous fashion piece boasted an asymmetric one-shoulder design with one long, billowing sleeve.

The UK-bred star looked incredible with the sun almost fully set in a backdrop with silhouetted clouds.

The artistic beauty also included snaps of gorgeous scenery, showing her eye for a great photo.

She shared a shot of clear, turquoise blue sea peeking through lush green tree leaves.
