Love Island: All Stars' Luca Bish has revealed that his mother forced him to watch back his controversial 2022 series following his treatment of his former girlfriend Gemma Owen.
The fishmonger, 25, was accused of misogyny and 'controlling behaviour' towards Michael Owen's daughter, then 19, with viewers even complaining to Ofcom.
After they returned to the UK he apologised for some of his actions and revealed he 'didn't recognise himself' when looking back at himself on TV.
And speaking ahead of his return to the ITV2 dating show next week, Luca admitted that it was his own mother who made him evaluate his actions, with the reality star confessing that he'd he acted like a 'k**b' at the time.
With Luca set to attempt to find love on the show once more, he's treating his upcoming stint as a 'second chance' to redeem himself, noting that he had 'learnt lessons' from his past experience.
Speaking to MailOnline and other press, Luca explained: 'I watched it back. I think my mum forced me to. Obviously there's some great moments and things I'd really laughed about, and obviously not so good. Sometime you come out the villa and think 'why are people writing this?'

'He added that he 'couldn't disagree' with the negative things written about him, as he shared: 'I learnt lessons. It's the lessons we learn from that make us who we are today.'
In the show Luca was left seething after watching Gemma have a chat with Billy Brown during Casa Amor, prompting him to question the strength of their relationship.
Fans at the time called for Gemma to break off her relationship after Luca raged at her for 'flirting' with bombshell Billy.
Elsewhere, he had also upset fellow islander Tasha Ghouri during the Snog, Marry, Pie challenge after he [and fellow constant Dami Hope] pushed cream pies into her face during the supposedly light hearted game.
Reflecting on his time on the show, Luca remarked: 'I definitely look back and I think "what a k**b" but that's why I'm coming on again and lucky I've asked to do it another time and get the second chance to kind of show you guys the more real me.'
'The lessons I learnt is, you're in a game show. Last time I was so raw and I thought everyone was my best friend and we were going to come out like a family and it's just not what happens, you know.
'And also a lot of other lessons on how maybe I could approach situations, how I maybe voice my opinion to someone, when it's the right time and not the right the right time. And not to get caught up with my emotions before saying something.'
He went on: 'I think as well that comes with just maturing. When I left home to go on the show, I was 22. I had my birthday just as I was over there turning 23.

'I came from a fish market and was just put straight in this world that I had no clue about. And especially when Jacques [O'Neill] left, I definitely started to come a bit more cranky and not enjoy my experience as much.
'It's probably taken me the last two years to realise how lucky I was to be in that villa and with the people that was in that villa and maybe not resent my situation and take accountability that I need to learn some lessons.'
Meanwhile during the chat, Luca told how he'd leave the villa if his ex Gemma came in as a bombshell.
The former fish monger is hoping for another crack at love on the ITV2 dating show, over two years after first finding love with the beauty, 21.
But following their split just months after coming runners up in the show, Luca has hinted that there's no love lost as he joked he'd do a runner if they came face-to-face on the programme.
Luca quipped: 'I'd walk out! when asked how he'd feel if the influencer strolled through the doors.
Emphasising his point, he then joked: 'I'd probably say "I'm a Love Islander, get me out of here!"'

However, he seemingly wouldn't have an issue if she wanted to return to the show for her own chance of love, adding: 'I'd back her all the way and just hope she has a better experience than last time.'
But while his fellow islanders including Marcel and Gabby have hinted at a possible reconciliation with their ex, Luca insisted that there's no going back for himself and Gemma.
He remarked: 'No, you can read a book twice but the ending never changes. That's how I look at stuff like that. Sorry Gemma!'
It comes amid claims Gemma is dreading Luca will talk about the breakup on the show - which will once again be hosted by presenter Maya Jama.

A source told The Sun: 'This is the last thing Gemma wants because in the last year she's tried to keep her personal life private.
'Their break-up was shrouded in secrecy and neither has discussed it, but it did not end well.
'He hinted he was blindsided by the break-up when she posted it online and this is his time to spill the beans.'
