American Pickers star Mike Wolfe forced to close Antique Archaeology store months after co-star's death

American Pickers host Mike Wolfe was unexpectedly forced to temporarily shutter one of his antique stores last week.

The 60-year-old History Channel personality owns two Antique Archeology businesses — one in Le Claire, Iowa and another in Nashville.

After encountering construction issues, the Tennessee location was suddenly closed on November 26.

According to The Express, the update was announced in an Instagram post that read: 'Our Nashville store is currently closed due to some construction issues!'

The note continued, 'We will keep you updated on when we open back up. We are so sorry for the inconvenience and look forward to seeing y’all soon!'

The store was able to reopen the following day on November 27, the same day he visited his Iowa location to plug its Black Friday sale.

He shared with fans an 'interesting' and 'unusual' Santa Claus suit, mugs, shirts, coasters, and hats.

It comes as Wolfe mourns the loss of his American Pickers co-star Frank Fritz, who died two months ago on October 1.

The news of Frank's death at age 60 was shared by his family, and it came two years after he suffered a debilitating stroke in October 2022.

Although Fritz said in 2022 that he hadn't spoken to Wolfe in two years, it was revealed after his death that the pair reconciled one year earlier.

Fritz's health had been in decline since he left the TV show in 2021.

'This is a very tough announcement to make. Frank passed away last night around 7:30,' his family's statement read.

Posted on Fritz's Facebook account, it noted that 'Mike Wolfe made a high speed to get back here from Nashville and other friends.'

'Please understand this is a very rough time for us. Including Mike so be kind as we are trying to figure out how to cope with this. Thank you all for your love and support through the years.'

Wolfe also confirmed Frank's death, writing on Instagram: 'It’s with a broken heart that I share with all of you that Frank passed away last night.'

He recalled about his dear friend, 'I’ve know Frank for more then half my life and what you’ve seen on TV has always been what I have seen, a dreamer who was just as sensitive as he was funny. The same off camera as he was on, Frank had a way of reaching the hearts of so many by just being himself.'

Elsewhere in the heartfelt post, he added, 'Who would have ever dreamed we would share the cockpit of a white cargo van in front of millions of people interested in our adventures.

'Before the show we would take off together to places we never knew existed with no destination in mind and just the shared passion to discover something interesting and historic.'

'We’ve been on countless trips and shared so many miles and I feel blessed that I was there by his side when he took one last journey home. I love you buddy and will miss you so much. I know you're in a better place.'
