And the star appears to have got off to a good start and was approached earlier this year by Hollywood producers to audition for an upcoming feature film.

The Italian hunk has not turned his back on reality TV forever and remains open to all opportunities but is now focusing on his possible film role.

A source told MailOnline: 'He moved to the USA earlier this year and was training at the Lee Strasberg Institute.

'After completing the course he was approached by Hollywood producers in Los Angeles and was asked to audition for their up and coming feature film for 2025

'He’s excited by the opportunity and is giving this audition process as much care and attention required in order to secure the role!'

They added that Davide is grateful to ITV for helping to launch his career, adding: 'He will always be appreciative of ITV for giving him the opportunity on Love Island and winning in 2022 - he does loves reality TV and remains open to all reality TV opportunities.'

Davide's career announcement comes as his former partner has returned to her reality TV roots.

Ekin-Su become the first contestant to sign up to Love Island: All Stars last week.

The former Love Island winner won over ITV2 viewers during her first appearance on the show where she and Davide, who famously accused Ekin-Su of being a 'liar' and an 'actress', became known for their tempestuous romance.

After their bitter breakup earlier this year, Ekin-Su starred on Celebrity Big Brother but was branded 'fake' by her housemates, with the reality star avoiding the show's final following an 'uncomfortable backlash.'

Ekin-Su later admitted to being in 'survival mode' and said she was carrying a lot of 'baggage' because of her split from Davide, who was accused of being unfaithful during their relationship on multiple occasions.

But now, by returning to the show that made her name, Ekin-Su hopes to be her own person again and finally find the right man to settle down with.

A TV source told MailOnline: 'Ekin-Su has been the number one priority for casting producers, they know fans would love to see her return to the villa.

'She was so iconic during her first appearance on the show and now she's single again at the perfect time.

'The deal is agreed in principle, there's still some details to sort out, but there's huge hope she's finally agreed to take a second chance at finding long-lasting love in front of the nation.

'Ekin's in her 30s now too, she really wants to meet someone genuine who she can settle down with and after seeing it happen for last year's All Stars winners, she's keeping her fingers crossed she can be next.'

Molly Smith and boyfriend Tom Clare became the first Love Island: All Star champions after falling for each other in South Africa.

The show, hosted by Maya Jama, returns to screens in January with a lineup of former Islanders including the likes of Gemma Owen already rumoured to be taking part.

And bosses are hoping the show will be as successful as last year's debut after Love Island was streamed 640million times following the launch of ITVX two years ago.

While Ekin-Su focuses on finding a long-term love in the villa once again, Davide has been bouncing back from a terrifying burglary that saw £1million worth of 'precious and personal belongings' stolen from his LA home.

The star revealed on Instagram in August that he had lost 'precious and personal belongings' worth about £933,312 in the theft, which he claimed took six minutes.

He told fans he is 'trying to stay positive' and added that he will be moving house as a result of the incident.

Speaking about the theft on Instagram, Davide said: 'I would like to say a big thank you to everyone who has displayed their concern and is DMing me and asking why I have been quiet over socials.

'As you all know I'm living in LA atm. Our home got broken into and was robbed of nearly 1.2m worth of precious and personal belongings, gone within six minutes.

'Just goes to show the saying is true, the evil always target the pure hearted, but I'm trying to stay positive that the good people will always win in the end.

'I'm taking a few days to reset, change house and keep moving forward.'

The former Love Island star posted photos which showed empty shelves with just a couple of items - including a Christian Dior bag - left strewn on the floor, seemingly dropped in the robbers' haste.

The thieves were thorough, even reportedly taking a safe, using a drill to extract it from a closet.
