Helen Skelton has joked that she needs a nanny for herself and not her three kids after embracing the fun side of life since hitting 40.
The TV personality, 41, shares Ernie, eight, Louis, six, and two-year-old daughter Elsie, with ex-husband Richie Myler who she separated from in April 2022 and shortly afterwards the rugby league ace, 35, started a new romance with Stephanie Thirkill.
The ex Strictly star told The Sun: 'I think we're past counting calories aren't we? It's not fun. You get to a point when you think life's too short not to not have fun.'
'I always say it's not a kid that needs a nanny, I need a nanny – to do all the boring stuff.'
Adding: 'Having kids is the ultimate ironman. It's incredible, I think women need to hear that. I've done marathons, I've done ultra marathons, but labour is harder.'

In June, Helen moved out of the marital home she previously shared with Richie after she sold the million-pound Yorkshire property.
She is currently living with her parents who are helping to look after Helen's children while she works and figures out her next longterm plan.
Writing in her autobiography, In My Stride, Helen recalled her 2022 split and how it blindsided her: 'I was in shock. I know that following break-ups, people often say they didn't see it coming and it sounds like a cliché, but that was me.'
In 2022, Helen starred on Strictly Come Dancing, which she said helped to build back her confidence following her separation.
Speaking about her time on the BBC show, she said: 'I think everybody at some point needs a little reminder of, 'Actually, you're really good at this, here's your invisible crown, pop it on.'
'I was like, 'OK, I'm hurtling towards 40, I've just had another child. I'm on my own. I've moved my life; I've moved my house.'
'I was on a bit of a sticky wicket, but the dancers are all like, 'Oh my God, you have three children, that's incredible. You bought a house, that's incredible.''
