Princess Beatrice has paid tribute to her Greek ancestry in a heartwarming detail spotted in the photo of her newborn daughter.
The King's niece, 36, gave birth to her second daughter, Athena Elizabeth Rose, no January 22, Buckingham Palace announced today.
Athena Elizabeth becomes 11th in line to the throne, pushing her aunt Princess Eugenie down to 12th place.
She becomes the third child in the Mapelli Mozzi brood alongside Wolfie, eight, from Edo's first marriage to Dara Huang, and Beatrice's three-year-old daughter Sienna.
But despite giving birth to the next generation of royals, the mother-of-three made sure to pay tribute to her royal relatives from previous generations.
In a nod to her Greek heritage, the photo of Athena Elizabeth shared by Buckingham Palace shows her wrapped up tightly in a knitted blanket that was designed by her distant cousin.
The blanket was made by Marie Chantal, Crown Princess of Greece and the wife of the late Duke of Edinburgh's nephew, Crown Prince Pavlos.
Prince Philip, who died in 2021 at the age of 99, was the only son of Prince Andrew of Greece, who was the younger brother of King Constantine I of Greece.

Princess Marie-Chantal of Greece, who is American-born, is married to Crown Prince Pavlos - who is the second cousin of Prince Philip. His father, the late King Constantine II, was Prince Philip's first cousin.
Alongside bringing up her own children, Marie founded founded her luxury childrenswear brand, Marie-Chantal, in 2000.
And her company has gone from strength to strength, expanding throughout the UK with a store in London in 2018 and bringing out a new line of fabrics for nurseries in 2022.
The blanket wrapping up baby Athena retails for £240 on Harrods' website or £225 from Marie Chantal's online shop and is made of luxury fabric.
The description says the cosy wrap has a 'scattered open weave that reveals an abundance of graceful angel wings' and is 'elegantly woven from the finest cashmere'.
The baby pink blanket is part of Marie Chantal's angel wings range which also includes matching baby grows, hats and sleepsuits with a similar pattern on including a baby grow in white for £45 and blue cashmere romper for £195.
And Athena's blanket is not the only nod to her beloved grandfather's family, with the Princess calling her daughter Athena after the Greek goddess of wisdom.

The announcement and first photo of the little one was posted on the royal's Instagram account and the caption read: 'Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice and Mr Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are delighted to announce the safe arrival of their daughter, Athena Elizabeth Rose Mapelli Mozzi, born on Wednesday, 22nd January, at 12:57pm.
'The baby was born weighing 4 pounds and 5 ounces.
'The King and Queen, and other members of The Royal Family, have all been informed and are delighted with the news.
'Princess Beatrice and Mr Mapelli Mozzi would like to thank all the staff at the hospital for their wonderful care.
'Her Royal Highness and her daughter are healthy and doing well, and the family are enjoying spending time together with Athena's older siblings, Wolfie and Sienna.'
Athena is the fourth grandchild for Prince Andrew and Sarah, Duchess of York. Their others include Princess Eugenie's sons August, three, and Ernest, one, whom she shares with her husband Jack Brooksbank.
Edo, 41, also posted on Instagram to reveal his new daughter was 'tiny and absolutely perfect'.
He shared the same photograph of Athena wrapped in a blanket, with the caption: 'Athena Elizabeth Rose Mapelli Mozzi.
'We welcomed baby Athena into our lives last week. She is tiny and absolutely perfect.
'We are all (including Wolfie and Sienna) already completely besotted with her.

Reposting the baby announcement on her Instagram story, Athena's aunt Princess Eugenie wrote 'welcome baby girl'.
Her grandmother, Sarah Ferguson, wrote: 'Overflowing with love and joy to be able to welcome Athena Elizabeth Rose into the world. She is already so adored and I’m incredibly blessed to be a Granny once again. So proud of Edo, Beatrice and the rest of my little 5-a-side team!'
