She couldn't wait to splurge! Katie Holmes wears her new red hat and navy coat out the store after holiday shopping spree in NY
Katie Holmes apparently couldn't hold off putting on her new purchases.
The 35-year-old actress got her retail pick-me-up while doing some holiday shopping at the high-end Saint Laurent Paris store in New York City's SoHo area on Monday.
Katie was spotted wearing a comfortably casual outfit into the shop - featuring an ivory jumper and furry-collared jacket - but later left in another ensemble.

She certainly had a sparkle as she strolled out onto the street wearing a woolen blue coat that snugly fit her figure and a bright red beanie that was so festive.
Katie's love of hats isn't a secret and since her move to the Big Apple has been seen wearing a variety of hats and caps and beanies.
Perhaps those new things were just what the mother-of-one needed during the seasonal hustle-bustle.

Keeping up with her lively eight-year-old daughter Suri certainly keeps Katie moving especially during the holidays.
On November 24, Katie revealed to Ellen DeGeneres that in addition to a new puppy, Suri wants all the accessories that go with it.
'We are getting ready for Christmas in my house and my daughter is eight years old and she has this list ready,' Katie told Ellen .

'It's written out. She's very organised. I get a little bit of a panic because you cannot screw up talking to Santa. You cannot miss any item on that list. Because if you screw that up, that's years and years of hearing about it and then probably therapy.
'She's practical. She's just very specific: "I want a puppy, then I want a pink collar with sparkles on it that says the puppy's name, then I want shoes for the dog, then I want a purple clip".'
That spurred Ellen to quip in her funny way, 'Now, is she abusing Santa?', which made Katie laugh and giggle.
Katie, meanwhile, seems to be enjoying her downtime after recently wrapping the drama Woman In Gold opposite Ryan Reynolds and Helen Mirren and the romantic drama Mania Days also starring Luke Kirby and Christine Lahti.
