Pete Davidson made a surprise appearance on the red carpet on Monday for opening night of All In: Comedy About Love.
The appearance marked the first time Pete, 31, has walked a red carpet event in 18 months.
He was there at New York City's Hudson Theatre to support his longtime friend John Mulaney, who is one of the stars of the new romantic comedy play, which was written by former Saturday Night Live writer Simon Rich, whose tenure overlapped with Mulaney's.
Pete — who also made a brief appearance on SNL when John was hosting in November — looked cool and casual for his return to public life.
He channeled 1970s style with a burnt-orange leather jacket, and he dressed down the rest of his all-black look.
The King Of Staten Island star wore a simple black T-shirt and matching baggy black trousers with cargo pockets.

He added another splash of color to his outfit with pale yellow canvas sneakers, and he sported a fresh look with his buzzed haircut.
It was a striking difference from his appearance in October of this year, when he sported shaggy hair at the Los Angeles Clippers' opening game at the Intuit Dome, where he caught up with his friend Machine Gun Kelly.
Pete and John have been friends for years, and the two have performed on stage extensively, including on a 2019 stand-up comedy tour.
John also made a guest appearance in an episode of Pete's Peacock series Bupkis, which he opted to end after just one season, even though it had been renewed by the streamer for a second season.
Pete has lately been keeping a low profile following his latest stint in rehab.
He checked into a wellness center in July, after DailyMail.com revealed that Davidson said he was still using marijuana after successfully quitting cocaine and ketamine.
Sources told DailyMail.com that Davidson opted to check himself into the facility due to his 'unpredictable' behavior and extreme heartbreak he experienced after his split from the Outer Banks actress Madelyn Cline.
He previously entered a rehabilitation facility in July 2023, for treatment related to his post-traumatic stress disorder and borderline personality disorder diagnoses.

'Pete doesn't have stability in his life right now. He does better when he has his s**t together and things are stable,' a source said, referencing the tumult from his breakup with Clyne, which occurred the same month he checked himself into rehab.
The couple had first been linked in September 2023, just one month after his split from Bodies Bodies Bodies actress Chase Sui Wonders.
She was with him in June of 2023, when he crashed his Mercedes into the side of a home in Beverly Hills.
He got the news in July that the reckless driving charges against him had been dropped after he completed a six-month diversion program.
He had the charges scrubbed from his record after completing '50 hours of community service, a safe driving course and visit both a hospital and morgue to confront the fatal consequences of risky choices.'
