Former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Teddi Mellencamp broke down in tears after her latest skin check amidst her ongoing battle with melanoma, as she shed more light on the disease.
Mellencamp, 43, who has been at the center of an alleged affair scandal involving horse trainer Simon Schröeder, has been battling with the serious skin cancer since 2022.
She has undergone multiple biopsies and procedures to treat the cancer, and during this most recent check-up, she revealed that she had finally received some good news for a change.
'Oh my God,' Mellencamp breathlessly said in a new video posted to Instagram, which looked like it was filmed from her car.
'I just had a little cry, but it's a good one,' she continued.
'It's the first time in over two years I've gone in for my three-month check and not had to have a biopsy because I have another cancerous spot,' Mellencamp announced.
She explained that she and her doctor looked at each other in shock when they got the news that nothing had to be biopsied, sharing that it was 'such a good feeling.'
'I'll go back in March, stay diligent with my checks, and this should be a reminder to all of you guys, please, please, book your skin checks, book your mammograms, book your OB/GYN appointments, book your eye doctor appointments,' she urged.

In the caption of her post, she shared an equally heartfelt message, admitting that she gets anxiety before she has her skin checks at the dermatologist's office.
'Going in for my continual three-month skin checks is never easy. The anxiety always takes over; the thought of another biopsy, another surgery, another addition to the scar on my back,' the All In By Teddi founder penned.
'And I always end up crying. But today the tears were those of joy. Because for the first time there wasn't anything abnormal, nothing that needed an extra look. And I am grateful,' she continued.
In her caption, she also explained how 'grateful' she was for all of her doctors and nurses.
'I'm grateful for my doctors, nurses, family, friends, and all of you for your continual support. As long as you're here, I have a reason to keep advocating for myself and for others,' Mellencamp wrote.
'And if you need to get your skin checked but have yet to make an appointment… what are you waiting for?'
Over the past few years, Mellencamp has been open about her battle with skin cancer, detailing many of her procedures and feelings about it all on her social media pages.
Last December, she had to undergo one of her biggest surgeries yet - a 'wide excision for melanoma and soft tissue defect reconstruction with adjacent tissue rearrangement,' according to E! News.

The procedure left a large, zig-zag scar across her back and shoulder.
In a September interview with Katie Couric Media, the former Bravo reality star admitted that she had put off getting her skin checked at first due to 'anxiety.'
In the end, it was actually her friend and former RHOBH castmate, Kyle Richards, who was concerned about a spot on her back and took her to the dermatologist, where they discovered the melanoma.
'We always think, "It won't happen to me." But cancer rates are rising, and cancer of the skin is by far the most common of all cancers,' Mellencamp told the outlet.
'What I had, melanoma, accounts for one per cent of skin cancers but causes a large majority of skin cancer deaths. When caught in its earlier stages, melanoma is beatable in 99 per cent of cases. That's why screening is so important,' she said.
Mellencamp's happy news comes amid a challenging time in her life, as she is currently divorcing from longtime husband Edwin Arroyave.
