New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers now regrets dating A-list women like ex-fiancée Shailene Woodley, who only managed to exacerbate his media attention.

'I didn't do myself any favors with some of the girls I dated after that that were in the public eye,' the 41-year-old footballer complained in Netflix's Enigma, which premiered Tuesday.

'I definitely hated [fame] at first – like, really despised it. I enjoyed my private life. I enjoyed being able to go places. But from Super Bowl MVP, MVP, State Farm commercials, that got a little bit more difficult.'

Aaron stressed that he 'never signed up' for all of the 'off-the-field attention' during episode two of Gotham Chopra and Liam Hughes' three-episode docuseries.

'I signed up for football because I love the game and I got great at it because I'm hyper-competitive and super-motivated,' Rodgers noted.

'But there's this whole other part that comes with it that's a lot of great stuff and a lot of f***ing weird stuff.'

The 33-year-old Emmy-nominated actress was still tearing up about the split in her Outside Magazine cover story on December 3: 'I haven't shared much about my relationship with Aaron because it always makes me cry. It was not right. But it was beautiful.'

Woodley was in a 'big pain bubble for eight months' after breaking up with Aaron: 'I felt like I lost my soul, my self, my happiness, my joy. I really understood depression and anxiety and, like, complete soul detachment.'

Rodgers was previously in a two-year relationship with Drive to Survive star Danica Patrick from 2018-2020, during which they bought a $28M four-bedroom Malibu home from Grammy-nominated singer Robbie Williams.

In 2022, the four-time NFL MVP told the Aubrey Marcus Podcast of the 42-year-old retired NASCAR driver: 'That relationship was great for me because she is on her own journey and spirituality is important to her. We both were finding our way, learning about different things [and] practicing meditation techniques.'

Before Danica, Aaron dated Hit-Monkey actress Olivia Munn from 2014-2017, during which she was instrumental in reconnecting him with his estranged family.
