If you've ever opened a dishwasher to find soggy dishes, this drying trick may be for you.
Content creator Rachael Eppley, who often shares 'life hacks' to TikTok, issued insight into how to improve the popular 'tea towel trick' to make it work for all.
The hack, which has been shared to social media many times, involves putting a clean tea towel in the door of the dishwasher when it's done.
However, some feedback has been that it doesn't dry the dishes completely - with Rachael explaining how to remedy that.
'In case your mom didn't teach you, you have to hang the towel as soon as the cycle ends for the towel hack to work,' Rachael shared.
'It's putting a towel over the door and then closing it so the towel absorbs the moisture and you won't need to dry the dishes/wait for them to dry before putting them away,' she explained in the caption.
'I just leave the door cracked open for a few hours after it's finished and they're dry,' one person shared.
'Yup! Our dishwasher is the worst at drying, but this does the trick!' someone else enthused.
If you've ever opened a dishwashers to find some soggy dishes awaiting, the dishwasher trick may be for you.
Last year, a woman also went viral after sharing a hack to create more space inside her dishwasher.
The Australian Instagram account @truearthmovementuser posted two little-known ways to position the cutlery holder inside certain dishwasher models to make more room for plates and bowls.
First, she turned the holder onto the side and pushed it onto the dishwasher door before closing it, but alternatively it can be hung on the bottom drawer.
'I was today years old when I learned my dishwasher could do this,' the woman wrote in the clip.
The idea is by having the holder on the side of the door, it creates more space in the dishwasher for dirty plates and bowls.
Not long before the content creator shared her hack, mom-of-two Chantel Mila revealed how she deep cleans her dishwasher, and how she gets her dishes sparkling every time.
The mom said that over time dishwashers build up grime and gunk, so every so often, you need to clean them to ensure they are working to the best of their ability.
'Here is the simplest way to get cleaner dishes,' Chantel posted in one of her TikTok videos.
The trick, which has been shared to social media many times, involves putting a clean tea towel in the door of the dishwasher when it's done
To start your dishwasher deep clean, you first of all need to remove the filter, and empty, soak and wash it in your sink with dishwashing liquid.
'Next, get a jug or cup and fill it with white vinegar,' Chantel said.
Then, place it on the top shelf of your dishwasher where you might store glasses and cups.
'Run the dishwasher at the hottest temperature for a normal cycle and then let it air dry,' she said.
This should give your dishwasher a 'deep clean', and ensure your dishes come out cleaner, brighter and whiter.
The reason why the vinegar works so well is because it breaks down any remaining food, grime, soap scum and residue that is left over in the dishwasher.
It also helps to sterilize your machine and flush grease, limescale and deposits out of the pipes ahead of its next use.
