Parents are stumped over this three-year-old's puzzle - so can YOU figure it out?

Parents have been left scratching their heads - after a puzzle in a children's magazine left them stumped.

While the publication is intended for kids aged between three and six years old, one of its seemingly-simple brainteasers had even adult readers confused.

The riddle asked its young audience to find a series of shapes and objects hidden within a larger picture of animated cars at a rest stop.

While most were easy to find, there was one figure so expertly hidden it took hundreds of eyes to finally locate.

The puzzle was shared online by an American school bus driver who often brings hidden picture activities she had torn from magazines for her young passengers.

It had nine hidden shapes including a heart, domino, diamond, crown and basketball, for viewers to find within the larger image but neither she nor the kids could locate one object.

'We have all tried but can't find the heart? Please help,' a woman asked on Reddit

Users quickly got to work to crack the mysterious brainteaser with many admitting they found it a challenge.

'Ok, people. This is not a drill. This is what we have been training for. Wipe your eyes and grab your snacks. It's go time, baby!' one woman joked.

'My wife and kids couldn't find this one either. It's tough for a little kid magazine,' a dad confessed.

'They definitely blew it on that one…way too hard for young kids!' a third agreed.

'Some of these are wildly hard,' another added.

However, eagle-eyed puzzlers found the heart pointing out it sits above the vending machine in the centre of the right page.

'That's a tricky one! I found it quickly by luck,' one user said and another wrote: 'Wow! That took me way too long. I found everything else quickly. But I zoomed in and voila there it is.'

Others had no trouble finding the elusive heart while some struggled to locate the remaining hidden objects.

'Found it in about 10 seconds! I used to love these types of hidden objects pages!' one woman said.

'It took me two minutes,' a second answered

'The only one I can't find is the moon. Everything else was a breeze, like the heart just above the vending machine,' a third wrote.

'Where's the moon? I can find everything else,' another said before it was revealed to be 'sneakily' hidden above the front yellow car's tyre.

The school bus driver was thrilled to have finally found the missing shape.

'Omg you guys are the best!!! Thanks so much! I did not expect this big of a turnout! The kids will be so happy!!!' she said.

This isn't the first time parents have been left confused by a children's challenge.

Previously, a mother was left fuming after reading the so-called 'correct' answer in her seven-year-old child's English homework.

The task asked the student identify the correct synonym for different words. In one of them, the word was 'ideal'.

She was then given five synonym options: Sweet, nice, perfect, identical and interesting.

The student circled the answer 'perfect', but this was marked as incorrect by the teacher who said the word 'interesting' was the 'correct' synonym.

The mother pondered if she was 'crazy' as she believed, like many, that 'perfect' should be the correct answer. After sharing an image of the homework on Reddit, other parents were angered as well.
